Starch Ethers

Our modified potato starches, developed for the construction industry and soluble in cold water, are additives that allow you to produce stronger industrial plasters and mortars, compatible with  cellulose ethers.

They are produced with high technology by EMSLAND STARKE GMBH with the motto “USE NATURE TO CREATE”.

Since they increase viscosity, they increase the non-slip resistance in the mortar, improve the performance of the mortar and make it more workable. They minimize the risks that may arise from the tendency to slip in the application of ceramics and tiles from top to bottom. They are the preferred products to minimize these tendencies due to the high tendency to sag and flow in wall and ceiling applications and are compatible with cellulose ethers.

Usage Areas

EMSET KH 6

is potato-based starch ether developed for the construction industry with a Brookfield viscosity of 250 mPA.s used in ceramic adhesives, powder gysum and cement-based mortars. It provides ease of work thanks to its workability feature and provides high sagging resistance in tile bonding.

EMPRESOL NE 60

is a potato-based starch ether with a Brookfield viscosity of 500 mPA.s that provides resistance to sagging in plaster and mortar applications and helps you make stronger plaster and mortar. It can also be used in emulsion paints for easy application with a brush and to improve rheology.

Emcol UKH DUST

is a high-viscosity modified potato starch used in wallpaper and poster bonding and cement-based mortar mixtures. It has a Brookfield viscosity of 10000 mPA.s.
