Antifoamers

All water-based paints are prone to foaming when mechanically mixed. In production, antifoaming agents are used to prevent raw material damage and to take precautions against possible hazards.

Defoamers are additives that prevent foam formation by reducing the surface tension of a solution or emulsion.

Their most important properties are being surface active and water soluble.
